Unit 7 The new students

教学目标

一.  语言知识

1.    元音字母U在重读开/闭音节中的读音与相应的拼写规则。

2.    词汇: A.掌握: morning class on  we aren’t=are not have new  student

3. 日常交际用语:

  B. 理解: Who’s on duty today? Do you know? No, we don’t.  Look after….

4. 语法:

   动词BE的复数形式are关的句型; 物主代词my, your, his, her, its, our, your, their

1.    知道英语中最简单的动词BE的一些基本变化, 以及英语与汉语有关 “是”人称搭配的不同运用。

2.    初步了解如何用英语介绍他人, 询问国籍。

培养和激发学生学习英语的兴趣与学好英语的信心, 敢于用英语进行交流。

主要任务设计

1.    做身份卡片: 目的是便于上课介绍自己,方便与他人交流。

2.    画出BE动词与不同人称搭配使用表格:目的是让学生重视之用法,起到强化的作用。

             

 Lesson 25

Step 1 Revision 

1. Revise greetings and introductions

2. Revise What’s this in English?

3. Ask Whose … is it? Is it one’s …? Yes, ….  No,….

4. Revise the plural form by asking Are these /those ….?

Step 2 Presentation

Teach on duty. Ask Who’s on duty today? Encourage the S on duty to say I am. Then ask again to let the class understand. Ask Are we all here? If the class say Yes, ask one S to go out for a moment. Ask again Are we all here? Help the Ss say No. Ask Who isn’t here? Is he at school or at home? Where is he? Then ask two Ss to go out for a moment. Ask Where are they? Are they at home? …. Tell the Ss aren’t = are not

Step 3 Listen, read and say

1.    Books closed. Play the tape.

2.    Books open. Play the tape again.

3.    Get the Ss to repeat.

4.    Read and act.

Step 4 Ask and answer

Get the Ss to practice the following dialogue. ( four Ss make a group)

A:    What row are you in?

B and C: We are in row ….

D:    What row are they in? (pointing to another group.)

Step 5 Practice

Ss make their own dialogues as they please. The T can give them some advice.

Homework

1.    Listen and read L25

2.    Write the new words.

3.    Do Wb Ex 1, 2, 3.

             

 Lesson  26              

Step 1 Revision

1.    Revise L25, Part 1.

2.    Revise L25, Part 2.

Step 2 Presentation

1.    Show a picture of two girls. Tell the Ss They are in Miss Gao’s class. Their names are Lucy and Lily. They are new.

2.    Show some more pictures and talk about them.

Step 3 Listen, read and say ( Part 1 and 2 )

1.    Show some pictures and ask Can you see Lucy and Lily? Say They look the same.

2.    Books closed. Play the tape.

3.    Books open. Play the tape again.

4.    Get the Ss to repeat.

5.    Get groups to read and act the dialogue in L26.

6.    If there is time, ask one or two groups to present it to the class.

Step 4 Listen and answer

1.    Ss listen to the tape and write the answer to the Qs

2.    Check the answer with the class.

Step 5 Rewrite a passage.

Give the Ss a passage without any punctuation mark, ask them to read and add punctuation marks.

Homework

1.    Read L26

2.    Write the new words.

3.    Finish off the Wb.

               

 Lesson 27

Step 1 Revision

1.    Revise L26.

2.    Revise some words.

3.    Revise singular and plural forms.

Step 2 Presentation

Get the Ss to ask the question Do you know? And they can answer Yes, I do. Sorry, I don’t know.

Step 3 Read and act

1.    Show some pictures and talk about them.

2. Books closed. Play the tape.

3. Books open. Play the tape again.

4. Get the Ss to repeat.

5. Get groups to read and act the dialogue in L27, Part 1.

7.    If there is time, ask one or two groups to present it to the class.

Step 4 Presentation

1.    Show a picture of a washroom and tell a washroom, we can also call it WC.

2.    Take a coat from a student, and ask What’s this in English? Do you know? Help a student to answer It is a coat.

Step 5 Read and act

1. Books closed. Play the tape.

2. Books open. Play the tape again.

3. Get the Ss to repeat.

Step 5 Practice

1. Use two real coats and say Please put them here / over there, pointing to the desk near you or far from you.. Then ask the class to do so with their partners.

2. Free talk ( Ss make their own dialogues )

Homework

1. Read L27

2. Write the new words.

3. Finish off the Wb.

Lesson 28

Step 1 Revision

1.    Revise everyday English in this Unit.

2.    Revise the sound of A E I O in open and close syllables.

Step 2 Listen, read and say

1.    Play the tape.

2.    Read after the tape.

3.    Write the letter U on the Bb and some words next to it, and get Ss to read them.

4.    Explain briefly in Chinese that these words all contain the same sound.

5.    Get the Ss to read them in random order. Then ask them to read the words in L28, Part 1.

Step 3 Read and act

1.    Show some pictures and talk about them.

2. Books closed. Play the tape.

3. Books open. Play the tape again.

4. Get the Ss to repeat.

5. Get groups to read and act the dialogue in L28, Part 2.

Step 4 Look and say

1.    Show some pictures and talk about them.

2. Books closed. Play the tape.

3. Books open. Play the tape again.

4. Get the Ss to repeat.

Step 5 Practice

Practise the following dialogue

A: Is this your …?

B: No, this is his / her …. This / That is my ….

A: Are these your …?

B: No, they ‘re their….  Those are ….

Step 6 Listen, read and guess

Play the tape while the Ss listen with books closed. Then say Turn to Page 35, Part 4. Who am I? Do you know?

Step 7 Write

Get the class to write a few sentences about themselves.

Step 8 checkpoint 7

1.    Go through the Checkpoint . Encourage the Ss to ask Qs.

2.    Revise singular and plural forms of the verb to be and the possessive pronouns

3.    Ask the Ss to remember the useful expressions in this Unit.

Homework

1.    Finish off the Wb.

2.    Encourage the Ss to write 2 or 3 other Qs that they would want to ask if they were in a new school.
