Fouad sits in the cafe? listening to the sad music playing on an old tape recorder. The song¡¡seems to go on forever. Fouad thinks¡¡it's ¡¡26¡¡  , but he doesn't want to hear it now. It's too sad for him. It makes him ¡¡ 27   of his uncle in Egypt who he hasn't seen for many years now.

Fouad's father ¡¡28¡¡ a few months ago. After that, Fouad found that there were so many things that ¡¡29¡¡ had wanted to ask his father, but had never asked. He realised that he knew

He has now spent a couple of days ¡¡32¡¡ around Jerusalem with an old, torn photograph in his hand. The photograph shows the whole ¡¡33¡¡  , his grandparents standing ¡¡34   at the centre of a group of four children in front of a house on a busy street. Next to the ¡¡35 there seems to be a garden with what look like olive trees in it. Fouad, ¡¡36¡¡ , can't find anywhere in this modern Jerusalem that looks much like the street or the house where the photograph was

¡¡37   . He feels sadder than the sad song playing in the cafe, thinking now that he might never

¡¡38 ¡¡¡¡the place where his father had been born.

The ¡¡39¡¡ keeps on singing her sad, sad song, and Fouad decides to go back home. He pays a few dollars and then goes out ¡¡40¡¡ the street.

The United States is known for its fast food. A lot of people don't have the time to shop and cook and clean up ¡¡56¡¡ a meal. Today, fast food is ¡¡57   cheap, which makes it even more attractive. And it is everywhere¡ªnot only in the United States ¡¡58¡¡ around the world. Now, ¡¡59¡¡ , there is a group of people who would like to see us stop ¡¡60¡¡  so much fast food. These people belong to the Slow Food Movement.

The Slow Food Movement started in Italy in 1986. It was ¡¡61¡¡ by Carlo Petrini, a food critic who ¡¡62¡¡ owned a restaurant. He and his friends wanted to encourage more people to slow ¡¡63¡¡ and learn to prepare and enjoy good food again. ¡¡64¡¡ began by meeting in small ¡¡65__ to organize dinners and wine tastings. This small Italian group grew, ¡¡68¡¡ in 1989 the International Slow Food Movement was born in Paris. Today there ¡¡69¡¡ 78, 000 members in 100 countries. There is also a ¡¡70¡¡

From the file, she came to know what had happened to Teddy and how he had changed from a bright well - liked boy to a lazy and boring one. Today our class visited the Museum of Natural History. We went to see the new 41¡¡show. At first I wasn't¡¡42¡¡in seeing dinosaur skeleton(¹Ç÷À). Why would anyone want¡¡43¡¡¡¡about something that's not around any more?

First we walked 44 a big room, I looked up¡ªup and up. I saw the skeleton of a large animal. It almost 45 the room. Two huge, dark holes 46 its head looked back at me.¡¡It was Dinosaur Sue.

Our guide told 47 all about Sue. He told us to look at her 48 . Sue had 60 of them. They were long and sharp. One tooth looked as 49 as my school ruler. The guide said the dinosaur's teeth showed that she was a meat eater. I'm glad I wasn't around when the dinosaurs were alive.¡¡I might have been lunch.

As I looked at it, I wondered what the dinosaur had looked 50 when it was alive. No one knows what 51 dinosaurs were, but I pictured it as brownish - grey. I could see it going through the grass and trees searching for food.

Suddenly I realized that the skeleton had once belonged (ÊôÓÚ) to a  ¡¡52¡¡¡¡animal here on Earth.¡¡It made me think about other¡¡ 53¡¡¡¡ that had once lived here.¡¡ Now I 54¡¡¡¡why people want to learn about these animals.¡¡ 55 ¡¡ would be very exciting to find a dinosaur skeleton.

Your dad. Now it is your turn to do something for him. This Sunday, June 19, it is _39 Day.¡¡So why not do something  40  to thank your dad for all his encouragement and support(Ö§³Ö)?

The idea of Father's Day came from a(an)¡¡41¡¡lady called Sonora Smart Dodd in 1909.

She wanted a special day to honour (¼ÍÄî) her father. He raised (¸§Ñø) six children by himself 42¡¡his wife died during the birth of their sixth child. I will never forget an accident that happened in my own childhood. When I was a boy of twelve, something happened to me that made me never ¡¡26¡¡ any birds in a cage.

We lived on the edge of a ¡¡27¡¡ in South Carolina, and every evening many mockingbirds

would come and rest in the trees and sing. There isn¡¯t any sound that can be ¡¡28   than the song of the mockingbird.

I decided to catch a young bird and keep it in a cage, ¡¡29   in that way, I could have my

own musician*.

I finally caught one and put it in a cage. The bird was ¡¡30   and fluttered* about the cage,

but finally it became quiet in its new home. I felt pleased with ¡¡31   and looked after my little

musician carefully.

On the second day, the bird¡¯s mother flew to the cage  32   food in her mouth. The baby bird ate up ¡¡33   she brought. I was pleased to see this. Certainly his mother knew better than I how to feed her baby.

The following morning when I went to see ¡¡34   my little bird was, I found it on the floor of the cage, dead. I was very surprised! What had happened! I had taken great ¡¡35¡¡ of the little bird, or so I thought.

Arthur Wayne, a famous scientist, happened to be in the forest where we lived at the time. Hearing me crying over the ¡¡36   of my bird, he told me what ¡¡37  . ¡°A mother mockingbird, finding her young in a cage, will sometimes bring it poison* food. She thinks ¡¡38   better for her young to die than to live in a cage.¡±

39  I never catch any birds or put them in a cage. All the birds have the right to  40  in the sky .
