Shipping is suspended （暂停）on the Three Gorges Dam area April 10 to June 15 as flooding of the reservoir （水库）begins. But it will not stop tourists from continuing to enjoy the famous scenery along the Three Gorges. Humans are social animals . They live in groups all over the world . As these groups of people
live apart from other groups , over the years and centuries they develop their own habits and ideas,

Time is not very important in non-industrial societies. The Nuer people of East Africa, for

The Water Cycle
When the sun shines on the surface of the oceans, the water is heated ,evaporates and becomes water vapor. Then is rises up into the air .As it rises ,it gets cooler and cooler , thus , larger numbers of water drops are formed,which, then , form clouds. When the water drops in the clouds are big and heavy enough ,they fall down to the earth . This is called rain. Some rain falls back into the oceans directly , while some falls down to the ground instead. As a result, the rain falling on the ground partly flows into the rivers on the surface of the earth, and partly sinks under the ground ,forming underground rivers. At last, the water flows back into the oceans again. This is called the water cycle.

W: Oh, nothing like that. My parents have to go to work in Hangzhou. We’ll have to move there. I’m really sad about that.

Now time for the weather forecast.
What’s the weather going to be like in China today?
In Beijing area, it will be sunny, a little cloudy but nice and warm. A beautiful day to do some
fishing!
Down in the south ,in Hongkong ,it’s going to be sunny and hot ,very hot . It’s 32degrees now ,
a perfect day for the beach.
But it is not so in Lanzhou. It’s cool and windy. We expect rain there and throughout the
northwest this afternoon.
And in the Tianshan Mountains, it’s 0 degree. North of Urumqi , there is two feet of snow already, and it’s going to snow some more . It’s a perfect place for winter sport.
And on the East Coast, in Shanghai, it’s sunny and warm. It will be a beautiful day for picnic.
